Most people like to have a drink or two every now and then, some more often than others. Alcohol plays a huge part in our calorie intake because it contains so many calories. Ideally we wouldn't be drinking lots of calories from alcohol but to completely stop drinking is a very hard thing to do if you like it and also impacts on social events. But there is another way....

What to do: Instead of your usual drink, perhaps a beer or a glass of wine, opt for a vodka, soda water and lime drink instead. There are a few reasons why this is a better choice:

  • It contains fewer calories than a pint of beer or a glass of wine
  • You are rehydrating yourself with water
  • The fresh lime gives it a nice flavour and is good for you

Why do it: as pointed out above, there are three main reasons to choose a vodka, soda lime over another type of drink. You will definitely feel more refreshed, less bloated and have more energy than if your drank pints. Sure, it's probably going to be a little more expensive but your health, and your lack of hangover, is probably worth it...?
