I remember a piece of advice someone gave me a few years ago: don’t drink calories. For a start they’re

usually empty calories, meaning there’s no nutritional value in them. And they’re really easy to drink too,

so it’s harder to keep an eye on the number of calories you’re glugging. A great example is a can of coke.

It's full of sugar and bad chemicals and has zero nutritional value. Avoid at all costs.

How to do it:

So what should you drink? Just drink water. You can save a lot of calories over the day by doing this one

thing. Don't even bother with the cordial drinks that a lot of people use. Cordials are chock full of sugar

too. At first it might be difficult to drink water without the sugary addition. But, trust me, you get used to

it. If you don’t like water, try adding some lemon or lime slices to your glass. Or try drinking herbal teas.

Peppermint, and lemon and ginger are particularly favourites.
